Many of the homes either boast views of the scenic coastline and nearby Charlestown or adjacent woodland where you can escape for hours. On a summer’s day the cove has a real Mediterranean feel to it and from time to time dolphins even appear in the bay. All our new homes at Two Coves, Duporth have been carefully designed to compliment the residential character of their picturesque setting.
St Austell Bay offers outstanding cliff and coastal scenery with beaches at Carlyon Bay, Porthpean and Pentewan. Within easy reach of St Austell are also the old fishing ports of Fowey and Mevagissey. The town benefits from excellent transport links which makes getting out and about even easier. The local airport is just 18 miles away and the town is also situated on the main railway line providing direct access to London Paddington and Plymouth. Local buses run regularly to nearby towns and National Express coaches also serve the area.
The town benefits from seven primary schools and two comprehensive schools, as well as an interesting combination of small local shops and well known high street stores. Within the town centre you will find a 5 screen cinema, ten pin bowling alley and a variety of pubs and places to eat. Polkyth recreation centre and swimming pool is a short distance from the town centre, plus the library, Poltiar Park, tennis courts, children’s playground and football pitch are all nearby.
St Austell benefits from a pretty harbour built over 200 years ago located in Charlestown where you will frequently see old sailing ships anchored. The harbour has been used as a film location for numerous films and television series, such as Poldark, and there is a small museum open during the summer season. Charlestown also benefits from two good bathing beaches, some charming pubs, tea rooms and a post office. It also boasts one of Cornwall’s leading health centre’s offering alternative health remedies.
The Sales and Marketing Suite is open Thursdays to Mondays, 11am - 5pm, off Duporth Road, Duporth, near St Austell, Cornwall.
